When you go shopping for furniture, wear shorts and short sleeves, so when you sit on a sofa or chair you can see how it truly feels on your skin. Think about hot days; is it going to feel sticky or make you sweat. What about when it’s cold? Is it going to keep you warm and cozy?

 When picking out a comforter cover, bedding and other fabrics; feel it with your arms and your face, not just with your hands.  You’ll get a better idea of how enjoyable or comfortable it is.

Don’t just rely strictly on your sight when it comes to choosing furniture or fabrics. In your day to day life, it’s the feel of your furniture and surroundings which are going to make your space a nurturing place to come home to.
