August Tip of the Month

Are you living in the past instead of looking forward into your future? You can rearrange your home and the pasts’ reminders in a way so that they are still part of your life, but not the main focal point.

 Create a space that is inspired by the things you love. Symbols of your dreams and future. If your favorite vacation destination is Hawaii use those elements about that place you enjoy. A light blue paint to reflect the color of the ocean, colorful floral fabrics and woven materials that are reminiscent of the natural landscape. Use plants that are native to the area, and artwork to help you envision the theme of your favorite place.

You can still keep the memorable items from your past within the room, like an important trophy on the console table and photos on your mantle.

If you are a prisoner of what no longer exists it’s time to move forward and create new opportunities and dreams of what’s to come.
