Furniture Layout in Large Spaces
Avoid pushing all the furniture up against the walls. This creates a lot of unused space. Instead group together furniture pieces to create different types of seating areas. A chair or chaise lounge with a small table and lamp for reading. A Desk with a chair for writing. A sofa, coffee table and occasional seating for entertaining and relaxing.  This will make the room feel larger and will be more functional by utilizing every inch of the room.
